Master chef on Wednesday night have his Yoder pellet smokers featured for a BBQ cook-off. I Hope it pays off for him and the brand. This will be the first time Ive watched the show in years

I'd sort of assumed so. I have never been within a bull's roar of a Yoder, or any pellet grill for that matter but you would want to hope that the contestants are either guided by familiar users or they could have some tool problems would be my summary. You have to give him his due on marketing that's for sure I've been watching the show this season a bit for the first time ever because my wife became interested, bit of a wank if you ask me. Cheers

The show just makes me angry, Not real in the slightest but I can dig a bit of escapism through non sense now and again. Big deal to have a product on the show, My wife now wants an Ariston gas cooktop burner and that the Harvey Norman sales person said they are featured on Master Chef,,, I said Nooooooooooooo, They have the worst write ups of the lot

ROFL!!! One day that very carefully crafted brand, Ariston, might actually make something that is not crap, but I'd not be waiting for it..... Anger is for me probably a bit too strong an emotion over Masterchef, pathetic might be closer. I was amused at Coles last week, their big MC promotion, know the checkout guy pretty well so asked him if he watched it, said it was a big enough embarrassment he had to wear the T-shirt Thing is though mate exposure is always good and if a pellet bbq wants to go mainstream Grillpro could do a lot worse than having it on MC, essentially massive free advertising. I'd never be buying one anyway, might a Daniel Boone if the finances stabilise Cheers

That's a name I would rather not see on this forum, they did enough damage at the other place.

had exact same post as mine above on the old forum.
it got deleted with the excuse that it was an attack on yoder and the importer.

Lot of Hard work to get the Gig. The truth is in the perception of others, 3 different models being used.

Something like that Bent, The show makes money by product placement and The "M" logo on products. Once its aired, Ill place a link to watch a re-run

Thanks for your post Smokey, your words are appreciated.
I hope it promotes alternative fueled Barbecues in Australia, & no matter the brand.
Its great to see your forum growing.
Cheers, Dave

Was disappointed, watched it and very little about the cue or bbq'ing. Seemed more about the "drama" and timing stuff ups. Also was surprised by them showing had to fill up pellets or running out... How on a 6 hr low cook?
Have thought more & think the high pellet use was them looking & poking all the time. At least Andy did end up saying to stop looking - bit late in the show though.
Suppose the show has to show the drama as it is entertainment not educational.
But still good to have alternative BBQ's being promoted.
Cheers
