Shayne I'd almost kill to be 44 again, I turn 70 in July. BTW I'm a retired ex Chippie/C of W, ended up SE Asia GM for a Danish Construction Company, now paying the price for the early years on the tools. No Readymix, Backhoes, Frame & Truss plants, Nail Guns, you get the picture.

At 43, my lower back is stuffed . L4/5 is basically bone one bone
All the Readymix, Backhoes, Frame & Truss plants, Nail Guns helps, but at the end of the day, bending/lifting/strain is the everyday life of a construction worker, and the body is what pays for it long term..........

No doubt about it, the construction industry is hard yakka. Most of my family on the male side are in it to one degree or another, dad was a master builder but spent his last years in the industry as a painter and decorator to apprentice one of my brothers. He then became a professional gardener, used to manage Lindsay Park Stud from that perspective. He never really retired but somewhere around 73 the docs basically told him his back was stuffed. He found that more amusing than anything else. A few holiday jobs on the sites soon persuaded me it was not for me. Had a heap of careers, but the closest I ever came to building was running a data cabling company. Now I just do IT Nice smoker Shayne, I was sure I'd mentioned, those little computer fans are inclined to wear their bearings out, pretty cheap things. You can get way better ones for very little money from the specialised PC parts places Cheers
