G'day
I arrived home last Sunday, cup of coffee, what tha hell is that! And it's hanging out of the bottom of the weber Q side tables. I flip that side table up. It's a piece of plastic webbing held by 2 screws and it's broken. More there's 2 screws missing and checking the other side? It's completely missing?
To say I've been underwhelmed with those side tables is an understatement. I've actually ignored them for 41/2 years never trust them with anything heavier than a pair of tongs. Never good or a beer or glass of wine.
So full of caffeine and purpose I headed off to the local masters to find out what the Qs are built like now!
The baby Q has no handles ... Good I'll just take them off, and put myself out off my misery. The Newer Q 200 has tables that don't flop down at 5 degrees and do not twist? They seem to fit flat on the handles and don't flop down at a 5 degree angle? What's the diference? I take a pic on my phone and take it home to compare.
No comparison on the underside cause the diference is purely thicker plastic...
But mine have a little square of plastic above the handles that you would expect to have something like a block of plastic in to bring those tables up to level ..... F$&ck bugger bitch bum!
Mine had come " pre assembled" so I recon those pieces had gone out with the packeting.... Gurrrr.
So at last, late.... I made some ply blocks to bring the table up to level, in fact , 5 degree up
And replace the plastic strip with an aliumium strip both side tables, simple no floppies.
Result.. Those things work as they were built to do.
Should not have excepted that the Qs tables are floppy and useless, they will hold a Kg of sugar and a KG bag of flour without depositing them on the ground!
Now I have to relearn how to use them, still " gun shi " of putting my beer on them!!!
Regards dave
