Saw that.Gone the same way as Sizzler and a few other steakhouses.
People must be over the whole American style steak thing. Went to one Texas style place (not Hooters) in Parramatta years ago across the road from the Irish Pub and wasn't that impressed.
Steak was mediocre, sides were expensive and ordinary, peanuts all over the floor didn't do anything for me and the poor staff looked really embarrassed singing crap songs for some reason or another.
My boss at the time told me he went to Hooters once and had sad food served by girls about the same age as his daughter who didn't want to be there and didn't like the attention of drunken idiots.
Pub food in the area is better, the asian choices are brilliant along with the Mediterranean options down near the train station. People are getting a bit more discerning with how they spend their money when they go out.

I Think you nailed it. Its quite thought provoking about the way the Australian food direction is going. They forgot to bend and change, Keeping to their one stalwart and outdated business plan. Even Mcadees are bleeding and are trying to claw back with new products. Very much gives me a resolve on how BBQ forums can, or should evolve.
