I really do not know if Coles specials are the same nationally but this is a bit of a bonanza week here. Ironically we seem to have lost our catalogue delivery, I suspect the garbage truck ate her, so did not know what the specials this week were, can't be bothered browsing for them. Some of them are food relevant, some not but damn, worth a wander in the aisles, I just needed a few bits and pieces, ended up spending $50 odd and the receipt says I saved around $24.... The skeptic in me says they are reacting to IGAs price match, but I'll drop by there tomorrow for a chat to the manager for his opinion. Oh, just by the by they have lamb shanks at much more realistic prices of a sudden for meaty looking shrink wrapped pairs, bought a couple, will see how they go. I guess the foodies have moved on to something else Cheers

Interesting isn't it ? Six months ago shanks were around $10 or more for a pair, lamb shoulder if I recall about $12 per KG. Then we get a FUD thing about food prices going up and they go down I don't keep particular records but pretty certain we are paying less for good food at the moment. Cheers
