I recently maxed out my 2 GB of free Photo Bucket, Now they want $30 a year for not much more. So I moseyed on over to Flickr Ive never used Flickr before and I am sure wondering why I haven't sooner. Uploading is about a dozen times faster and I get 1 TB of pics free.
So,, What is the catch? Any seasoned Flickr users have some advice about its use?

Oh ye It will not matter once we pull the trigger on the move but the host sites do leapfrog each other, PB is a bit.. well you know the epithet, this week, time to get off that crap and accept the pain of direct hosting with all its advantages - serious... Cheers

Gee Mick, ya must have some pics on there cause I know I have HEAPS but am yet to max out..... though, although I haven't checked or even know how, might be getting close.
I did once get an email from PB mentioning how I was getting close to my band width limit..... what ever that means. I didn't do anything about it (had I have known how) and am surprised to this day as it remains business as usual

It sort of depends what resolution you are taking pics at or rather what you might down-sample them to before saving to an image host. The trouble with the really high resolution cameras these days, big images.
Bandwidth Shayne reflects the number of hits on your hosted images over a period of time, I think PB work monthly. If you exceed the number they make your pics unavailable for a while. It's all part of the getting you to pay ploys but really, there are a lot of image hosts around, I wonder sometimes at the economic model.
Cheers
