Does anyone know what "Pork Paste" is? I came across it when looking at some Vietnamese recipes, they just mentioned you get it from an Asian Grocer. Looking around I can find some tins called this but.... Initially I just assumed it was pork put through a blender again but well maybe not. The dish I was looking at was prawn on sugar cane sticks & it talks about getting prawns & blending them then adding in pork paste. So this got me wondering if maybe it is pork with other things blended. Still looking around for more info but also thought I'd ask here as well. Thanks

It's the condiment they refer to, A bit like XO or crab paste. Your thoughts of emulsified spiced pork are interesting however. I make wontons with processed prawn and pork meat mixed together so a possible go around.
