I love my boats and these interceptors seem to kick serious butt

Yeh they can certainly handle a serious sea..
I'll stick to my poly craft up a nice calm river though.

Y'know.. when I was young, probably stupid, I used to fly very fast but not exactly reliable airplanes out over seas like that to say hi to Ivans Never had to take a dip, which is why I'm here, but kudos to the maniacs that crew those things Cheers

I think I'll go with Dave and stick with a river, from the shore tho!

Yeah, that's precisely the kind of people we end up pulling out of the water.....

Yeah, that's precisely the kind of people we end up pulling out of the water..... Chris....what were you flying? RAF in the 70s Ozy, did a tour on Lightnings, then one on Phantoms. In those crazy days an active tour meant mostly being on Quick Reaction Alert or QRA to intercept big Russian Bears and sometimes Bison, bombers coming over the North Sea. They were not coming to bomb anything, or at least we never expected them to but they were doing recon in particular trying to identify radar locations and communication hubs plus seeing how quickly we would react. All a bit of a crazy game, one that seems at the moment to be back on with the maniac Putin having his Frontal Aviation wandering around over the Baltic, North Sea and recently down the California coastline. Cheers

G'day Personally I don't really like small boats.... I'm really more happy with something more like 5 or 6 thousand tons. A crew of 2 to 3 hundred is good. You can go to sleep knowing that someone has your back. Full watertight compartments are a must. Proper ones that count in the boiler rooms unlike the titanic. Some really good guns, with some good radar... Like that. Missles love those things. Like torpedoes too. Only one problem you can't troll at 22 knots plus.... Regards dave
