Yes, I saw those and also picked up two I put them straight into the freezer until I figure out what to do with them. Maybe a Guiness pie with Chris's hot water pastry indirect on the bbq. Hmm

Now there's a thought mate, maybe I'll get more. Not my hot water pastry, that stuff would date back a long, long way in the West Country of England but glad to have put you onto it. That is a very intriguing thought though and one I may well do myself, if I can keep Guinness in the house long enough, my wife loves the stuff The pubs have gotten us used to flaky pastry tops on Guinness Pie, which I sort of find unsatisfying. One place near me does do it with short-crust but the thought of a full pie, not just a topping does have my taste buds interested Cheers

Yeh man we are definitely onto something there. That pastry is the shiz and that flackery stuff is just too hard to physically eat Im pretty much nailed onto what I'm going to do with this cheek meat. Just a heads up to the readers, It don't keep well even in cryo. Freeze it or use it soon.

Best before date of 29/04 but, will be good for 6-8 weeks (infact, improving) from now

That looks dark and stormy tasty OM, They must have featured beef cheeks on MKR ? I don't watch it but only guessing. Good buying Shayne. I hope these stay regular over the winter.

It's still good I need to do a chest freezer defrost myself. Have no idea what is down there, I do know there is a duck and a block of pillys. Lucky dip otherwise.

I've absolutely no excuse - an easy access upright only feeding two - bloody thing is provisioned for Armageddon... That's it, conscious effort to just cook from it for a few weeks and reduce the shop. (The pantries yes, two of them, actually plus another cupboard, are just as bad. ) Will never starve, but it is bemusing how it adds up Cheers
