Saw these at Aldi a few days ago and, don't quote me, but I think about $6 a pair.
Rated to 250 c and non stick coated.
I am thinking these would be perfect for Jerky (or even Salmon), as they are stackable sooo, a few sets would make good use out of minimal grill area.
More toys but at a small outlay

These are always handy. My current tinned one is rusted out. Hopefully they will be in store tomorrow when we do the weekly shopping run.

If I was you Chris, I would organize a rally/march holding banners up high........ "WA FOLK DEMANDS THE GOOD WILL OF ALDI"
All going well, a few local stores might pop up before the end of the year

They are coming mate, but not really committing with how many or where, which in Perth is a bit of an issue being the city pretty much extends along around 100kms of coast in real terms these days. The early rumours were first in Kwinana, which is well over an hour each way drive for me in real terms. It didn't seem to make much sense as a location the north of the river is where most of the big growth is going on but we just have to wait and see Cheers

From observation of their expansion in my part of the world. They will start off in middle to lower income suburbs because they compete directly for the budget conscious shopper with coleworths.
Once they get a foothold they expand but I can't recall ever seeing one in the wealthy suburbs.
Used to work with a bloke who went once a month on an hour and a half each way trip. Filled two trolleys with 4 or 5 each of the staples and specials and only bought milk, bread and a few bits and pieces locally. Saved heaps.

Hmm, Kwinana would certainly qualify as lower income but really the north from sort of where I live and heading up would be pretty similar. I can understand not being in the wealthy suburbs, their entire model is around being frugal with everything, land prices alone can well and truly keep a budget conscious operation in the lower cost areas but they would not have to go far across most of Perth to find suitable locations and capture the entire city. We wait and hope I have to admit, it's not even so much the potential savings, from what I've seen visiting stores over east and what I read on forums it's the range of product I'm looking forward to. Cheers

If you want the best of catalogue stuff here you have to revisit the rugby days.
Drop the shoulder and go hard. Trolleys are not for putting things in but roadblocks and battering rams.
Queue out the front on special day is huge.
