Day off, craved a burger for lunch but did not relish any of the usual takeaway grease burgers so made myself one....

Not Ozzie enough, I'm afraid so no eggs or beetroot on my burger.
Pattie, cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup and mayo

Man after my own heart Ozy, that's quite enough to put in a burger I will admit to having enjoyed the occasional burger on the road with a fried egg but can never be bothered at home and no, beetroot and I do not have any relationship whatsoever Cheers

Grilled beetroot with EVOO, Wine venegar and crumbled fetta, hell yes, but pickled?
Not my cup of tea...
Regarding burgers though, if you get the pattie done well, even bacon is too much.
Best burger I ever had was in a friends place back home in Greece. Charcoal fire, perfect patties, a slice of guyere cheese, ketchup and a bit of mustard
Nuff said....

That is true Ozy, I don't think I had bacon on a burger until arriving in Australia TBH. Cheers
