Clear blue skies and all is calm, The sun setting further wax. It's still warm but alas a tell tail cool hangs in the air. Summer flowers are drab but the lemons are there. Winter is near to chill, A time of food and wholesome. Time to use the season and then some

was out with the son-in-law today, getting his wood supply for winter,
the ribs in the WSM did their own thing. had to adjust the vents only once.......a nasty breeze kicked up.
4 ute loads plus what he had there already. should max out to about 10 tonne or so.
i think that should see him through.
i do not have a fire place anymore.............just a gas heater and reverse cycle air con.
so looking forward to the killer frosts and the prospect of snow.............bullsh#$
summer up in eukey is great, always got a cool breeze happening, don't know what winter holds in store for us.
always have spent winter on the low lands at ballandean

yeah it sure is...............we get an influx of leaf watchers,
and we have a sneaky touristy sort of look at the show of colours happening,
from all the maples and this one type of tree in particular that looks like it is on fire.
that tree is on the lead in roads into town.
yep, autumn is a great time up here

Ive got got a neighbour like that. I asked him to trim my side of his tree line and he wouldn't . It's all his trees and I can't mow under them. I said I will do the work but would you take care of your trees cuttings? No Go illegally dump it was his reply. So I did it all myself and piled it all up. Im talking heavy branch from a 100m long boundary. Had to burn it myself according to local council and EPA laws.

I have a very untested theory - Australians have these repeated neighbour problems because their houses are just a little too far apart - this rubbish doesn't happen in tenement housing Utterly unfounded but as Mick knows my own neighbour is the sort of IQ of room temperature moron that could be a chore to live next to - strange thing is he never bothers me, had a confrontation with a mate who visits often. The gene pool certainly needs more chlorine - you just can't toss it over the fence Cheers

The joys of neighbours, one of ours is the most obnoxious, pedantic, abrasive, unpleasant person I have ever had the misfortune to have come across in my life.
This is not the place to discuss him, he'd sour all the food for ever.
Any lawyers amongst the members?

There are days I really do think when Gondwanaland separated it would have been nice if WA went west and did not remain attached to the rest Be a bit like throwing away the crown jewels- the minerals, but damn this chunk of the big island can mess with the weather. Here after one ridiculously long hot spell that really cruelled what little chance I had of anything from the garden this year it suddenly did a temperature plummet and poured rain whilst adding wind. Blessed relief, although a bunch of trees down, also power lines and freeway overhead signs, until a couple of hours ago, then the temp decided to sour and was immediately in hot pursuit with the humidity Autumn is a very odd season sometimes in WA Cheers
