Don't know what that is, It happens to me depending what PC or I thing I'm on. And on all forums, What I do if I've got some large text is copy it before I push buttons. Some say to write up in word but that's a PITA. I will ask the experts and see if it's a problem on the forum side. Sorry mate

I'm hearing you Hoddo.
More than once I've done something to make a heap of typed text become invisible.
Happens at work sometimes too and I asked the IT guys what the problem was and got a technical answer."It's a PEBKAC error"
I googled that and found out they were having a big sledge. "Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair"

Very similar to the 1 D 10 T problem that occurs now and then.

It happens to most everyone, certainly this IT person is far from exempt. I did once try to find a means to disable keyboard shortcuts but if there is one I've never found it. If I'm planning a big post I do it in Notepad, simpler than Word and just copy and paste it, not ideal but better than the frustration of losing everything Cheers

It's funny but many years ago during a prolonged medical recovery I spent time at TAFE learning all the "Office" programs. One of the first things I learned in Word was to create your document before you start and to continually hit the Save Icon or shortcut. For short answers I just type it in, but for something with any size to it I do it in the Open Office equivalent of Word, then copy and paste. There have been several occasions where I was thankful for developing an early habit.

Its a kick in the guts, and makes you feel like throwing your hands in the air, and always seems to happen at the end of a lengthy post that you have spent 20mins on, IMG links from PBucket as well
Yes, Word I have used as insurance against this but then, I get slack, use the server for the original until it happens again.
Its a revolving door saga

Heh, Word is a good example of software decadence in my view, it was pretty much at its best around Office 2007, which is what I still install, but 2003 was just as good. I agree with Bill on using Open Office, unfortunately I can't for work all my clients are MS addicted A few years back the "save often" mantra was a Godsend, not quite so much a problem any more, things are more stable, but those pesky shortcuts can be beyond annoying. Cheers

I usually do it in notepad also but that post I did on peeling prawns didn't transfer across too well. ctrl + W was the combo that did me in.

Yeah,
Notepad is just that, a quick note taker, not true WYSIWYG. Wordpad is the other alternative.
Cheers
