Spotted this in the Supermarket today.....
.....Like..... "WTF"......
Purchasing it did cross my mind (jusssssttttt to try it) but thought bugger it, "don't waste ur money lad"
It'll be pretty hard to beat home produced on this product, if impossible.

Yeah saw it last Friday at the local Woolies, nearly spewed at the thought. Not at Pulled Pork but commercial PP, I love my own version.

Sadly, This kind of false bumf is also served up at restaurants. Even worse, it's as close as to the real thing most people will ever know. Having said that, I've never tried this, and don't know how Hans processes it. But by its look? Id say electric oven baked in a water bath and Id sack myself for turning out something looking similar. No smoke ring and No Bark

I guess I look at it this way. It really is pulled pork (I am assuming it comes from the Hog?). Now, if the package said 12 hour, slow smoked, probably would need to taste it to see if they were fibbing! But for convenience, for the person who is just not gonna spend that 15 hours to do it right...you know, it probably aint that bad.
We just all know that that 15 hours aint that hard to do, it is just fitting it into our schedule, and that it is a fine product when finished!

I'd agree Bent, take my mother for example, lives alone would not ever bother to cook pulled pork for herself but does like it. For a commercial product anything I've ever tried by Hans has been perfectly ok Cheers
