My partner and I have just moved to Mackay from the Sunshine Coast - we've done away with the standard BBQ and just bought a weberq 2200. I cannot wait to try out some new recipes on here ? . We have both our families arriving for Christmas this year and I can assure you the weber will be used everyday! I am an avid cook - willing to experiment as well on new ideas too. I will add a few recipes as well. Happy Cooking.

Welcome & please post up some of your cooks. This is a great community & everyone is more than happy to help or assist with any queries you may have. Not sure if your familiar with lid down cooking and if not you will get a massive surprise as I did - the food that comes out is just delicious. The snags I've done have (even supermarket ones) taste so much better I've even gone back to eating them. I had given up on snags for quite a while - fatty, dry, tasteless, horrid things until I got a ziggy (similar to the webber q). Now they are a breakfast treat & it has become a toss up - homemade bacon, lamp chops or snags. I am learning about making my own sausages. That's what this place has done to me - make your own bacon, smoked salmon, sausages .... Hope you get addicted as well - the more the merrier. Cheers

Welcome Camzie, I near moved up that way myself from the Gold Coast a few years ago, Had a couple acres at puluma (spell) Most of us tend to put a recipe up as we do something new so it's kind of laid back type of forum.
Im cooking up some big pork hind hocks today that can be done on the q2200. Ill be sure to put up some pics and what I did temp wise as it will be a mix of high, med and low temp cooking.

Welcome, lovely place you have moved to I just missed out on the 2200 by buying my 220 last year but totally happy with it regardless, great gas BBQ. It's a lot of fun around here, as Gus says don't be surprised if you end up with more than one Q, let alone a lot of gadgets but on the upside lots of great food Cheers
