This is a variation of your typical margaritas. Goes great with BBQ. I usually make it in Jugs and serve it over ice instead of straight up
3 Parts Tequila 2 Parts lime juice 1 part simple syrup or Agave syrup Hot Chillies to taste Ginger to taste
Muddle the ginger and chillies with the syrup. Add the lime and the tequila. Shake well with ice and strain over ice.

I like it, reminds me of a home brew ginger ale I did with super hot chilies. Crikey it had some bite.

Why am I scared? nothing to do with the margaritas a mad mate makes that sound eerily similar and can lead to strange antics involving swimming pools (not me I hasten to add - rugby players ) Cheers

It's the tequila.
Makes sensible rugby players go silly and has been known to make people's clothes fall off.
That's why I stick to the chili wine and ginger beer cocktails. Much safer

Actually tequila is a very misunderstood and much maligned drink.....mist of its bad reputation comes from idiots doing shots of it, and too many of those too. A good tequila on the rocks or in a well made cocktail can be an excellent companion to BBQ.
Back home in Greece we would throw big BBQ parties and make jugs of the stuff that we poured over ice.
