Perth is having a rebound relationship with winter - thunder, lightning, torrents, the whole nine yards so no outdoor cooking for me this week Also been a bit busy, so went for a simple slow cooker for tonight. Had picked up some chicken drumsticks on the weekend so gave them a good rub with Texas Steakhouse. let sit a bit then browned them before packing into the slow cooker. Gave them some seasoning then added a large brown diced onion, (maybe should have browned that a little) celery, cubed potatoes, garlic, mushrooms, additional seasoning and a good glug of red wine before putting on for about seven hours. It was OK, served with some steamed broccoli, but whilst the chicken was falling off the bones and quite tasty the whole thing was a bit... bland... SWMBO says most would say it was fine but kicking myself for not browning that onion and adding some chili. Oh well, can't all be perfect Cheers

It's not all that bad! Some honey soy drum sticks in the 320 and some shanks smoking over a snake in the kettle tonight. And I dont even have a covered patio

Mind you I think I caught a break in the weather, late afternoon was awful.

I chickened out with the weather last night, had some Greek Vege's left over from Sat night so I coated some Lamb Forequarter chops in Nostamini, let them absorb the goodies for about an hour then fried them up in a nice hot cast iron frypan. Very tasty.
