Haven't been out to a BBQ place in ages but last night had to meet an interstate colleague who has a yen for all things Asian so he suggested this place in the city. Paksaik Namoo, on Barrack St between the two malls, number 68. (Not that that would mean a lot to non-sandgropers ) I was pleasantly surprised, about as authentic Korean as it gets, central Hibachi, separate seafood soup cooking on the table, big selection of things to cook, plenty of dipping choices, just had to ask, and communicate with the very real, barely have English staff Authentic Korean beers and other drinks as well. Place was full of Koreans eating, always a good sign, and considering we were there nibbling for about three hours, very cheap. Worth a try for the few current WA members or anyone who comes visiting Cheers

Very similar Shayne, not as artistically displayed but damn it was tasty We seem to be having an increase in these places here but the last one I tried was terribly over-rated. This place was much more authentic. It's one of those things with Asian food, either it gets very westernised or it can actually be better here than in the country of origin - I think from memories of Seoul that this place was very on par. I must admit though that the best Korean BBQ I've had anywhere was not in Korea but in Guangzhou China - was giving a paper at a conference, the hotel food was very average, next door was an enclosed court of Asian food places, we tried the Korean third night and just kept going back Cheers
