Anyone know anything about this cooker? It's under the brand of "Kuchef," seems to be one base unit and three different sized inserts. No Aldi over here (dammit) so can't take a look at one myself. My wife has been browsing around a Facebook page dedicated to slow cooking and several people seem to be raving about it and it is apparently selling like hot cakes. She has friends in Melbourne who are happy to go get her one and send it over (just why we need another slow cooker, different story ) I'm just trying to get my head around how the thing works, seems sort of an odd idea given how slow cooker work. The more interesting one is only available in the States at the moment, a wiiiide base with three 1 litre inserts that can all be running at the same time. That I could see many uses for although the most sensible thing from the online images is that after all these years of slow cookers someone FINALLY thought to have a cover holder on the rear to hang the lids on. In case you hadn't gathered, I thought I was bad with cooking gadgets.... Cheers

I let that go by the wayside, Probably with the same thinking that you have. Why do I need it? In saying that for the price if my missus had dragged one home I would not have had a problem with it,,,, or her. It will work no doubt but knowing Aldi it will be on the small capacity side. Probably perfect for two doing easy week night food. Id say let her have some fun

It's 5.5, 3.5 and 1.5 litre mate, not bad capacities at all, but yeah, I really struggle to find a reason why we need it. According to the board she is on it works fine at all capacities. I'd have thought the middle would have been the sweet spot, tendency to bottom burn on the smallest and be a longer cook on the largest but apparently not. What I did like was that it is not automatic. If she wants it no way I'd be stopping her, she can find the cupboard space, we're out of kids who need cast-off slow cookers Cheers
