Meeeeeeeeee First AND second (Was worth a shot Shayne) All good, I really need to start the Xmas hams so I also bought some wood pellets and chips as well from Terry. I also get to sample his hot Cajun rub. Soon as I get it I'll post up pics. BTW,,,, I've never done the marble cake thing in my life. It just popped into my head so I suppose now I have to prove the theory.

Stop talking about Christmas!!!! Neither have I but when I saw your post it jogged a memory of seeing someone using an injector with cakes, may have just been booze but I can't see why what you suggested wouldn't work. Cheers

Well it arrived, It's OK I suppose and will work. The machining is awful and the glass tube is as thin as a test tube also rough at both ends, I'm going to have to lap it so it's smooth against the rubber seals. The needle is a push fit and a slight twist. Dunno about that and the needle is also rounded blunt, I need to sharpen it a bit as I don't think it will handle being Nurse Ratchet inserted.
I think I will hold off any type of review, In fact I won't review it as it would only hurt.

Eh, At least it was free Any ideas on where it is being made ? I do become more and more of the opinion, after an accidental chat with a vet mate, that these things are not rocket science, reckon a home-brew might be the go, especially as my Amazon order is officially MIA and refunded to my account Think about it: A good sturdy needle, apparently you can get ones that diffuse rather than direct inject from vet suppliers, I hesitated to ask why, needles are something I get all girly about a Decent mount into an easy clean sterile receptacle and a plunger with a seal. Not as sophisticated as what Shayne sprang for but I'm tempted Then again I was haywiring PCs before the term was coined Cheers

Maybe I was sounding harsh, But it is rough and I don't want to BS. Looks like it was made in India, Or Mexico, Or Russia. And yes it was free so now in a hard place. With some cleaning up will see how it goes. I did buy fifty bucks of wood chips that came with it so in no way am I trashing the guy. The adjustable plunger works like a yabby or nipper pump and it seems to work well as I can force the seal.

Now I know what Shayne was talking about with his experience with various injectors. That brisket I did last weekend I tried to inject. It was a hopeless cause. The needle is just not sharp or strong enough to pierce the flesh. Lets just say the needle is no longer straight I prefer my old scanpan injector that had a larger diameter needle that was sharp. I could really jab it in. It flowed better too.
