Wasn't sure if the intent was to post it on other sites but did so on a couple anyway Cap'n, a very good message. I've one daughter who is mildly autistic, or maybe has Aspergers, stopped the medicos prodding and testing her years ago. She's very beautiful, just sees the world differently. Cheers

Cheers Chris, my heart goes out to you and everyone else in similar circumstances. Thank god we are in the 21 st century and the majority of people are a lot more understanding and tolerant than in the last century. That is why the Make A Wish Foundation is my charity. We are a Mom and Pop company and support he MAWF by providing my Weber Cook book to those interested and ask for a donation. We also donate to the charity each year. We also provide direct assistance to some families of sick kids who fall through the cracks. It may just be a Woolies gift card or a fuel gift card. I could go on and on about my experiences with sick kids and kids that see things through a different perspective, needless to say I understand.. the intent of the original post was a test to see if I could attach a PDF to a post. cheers phil

Note to self: Need a test area My daughter is I think one of the lucky ones, perfectly happy, devastatingly smart in some things, does not even vaguely understand others. Hat's off to you mate, all kids are beautiful, even the little shits (My family must have some weird diet or something, first generation in the 70's, now there are 72 direct descendents ) Cheers

My eldest boy is on the Aspergers spectrum, At twelve he just doesn't "get" things It's painful sometimes but he has a younger brother that is his keeper and has had his fair share of school yard biffs standing up for his elder brother. He at only Ten understands that he has that job for life. He is loving and smart, Just not smart the way world says he should be. He's totally into electronics. So It's close to my hart as well. Maybe we could make MAWF the forum preferred charity ?

Hmm,
That's a very good idea smokey.
My daughter is much the same, some things that she can do just take my breath away, some things she is just never going to understand.
My daughters have had their differences over the years but very close now, younger one's the chauffeur, thank God, but she has an artistic bent that I have no idea where it came from, already selling some art as she finishes her study.
Cheers

Mick Love the idea of the MAWF as the forum preferred charity, but that was not the intention of my post. That was just a few personal thoughts that I was sharing with like minded people to let you know that you are never alone. If you wish to do that then I will support it.
Cheers mates.
