I always grab one of these when I visit Cabramatta for a produce run.
Infact, its the first thing I go for.
Its addictive, that's for sure.
Of late, I have been making it at home and I just cant get enough of it.
This is the brand that the locals use and at $5.50/500gr, its at the right price
And although the process will work with any ground bean to make standard iced Coffee, to make real Vietnamese iced Coffee, you need Vietnamese Coffee bean.
Vietnamese Coffee is almost Chocolate/Coffee in taste. Much different to what's expected in the taste of normal Coffee.
2x tbsp ground coffee then, 200ml boiling water allowed to drip through it into a glass.
2x tbsp Condensed Milk stirred in then add ice.
Its that simple and is oh sooo gooood
Have it hot too, but I much prefer the Iced version

Pretty cool Shayne, Robusta definitely has it's place in the coffee world and is often misunderstood by coffee snobs that are so hung up on expresso.
Ive got a cool recipe for Baileys that might surprise, But I want to take pics making it. Am away this weekend so will sure do it next week.

Bit of an old thread but was reminded of this yesterday - wife has her hair done by a local Vietnamese run salon and they just cut mine as part of her service Seriously, dropped her at 10, had a call at 2.30 to come get mine cut. What the heck takes so long !?! My car can be serviced in less time, but, hair, nails etc, all to her liking, great family biz. Not the reason for posting though, hot day, arrive and get handed a large iced coffee. I'm not usually a big fan but this had for real beans in with the ice... May have to change my opinion of iced coffee Thing is I've traveled in Vietnam a few times, I don't recall iced coffee, brilliant latte, and Vietnamese bread is to die for, but I guess I just never saw the offer of iced, too much beer to cool down with Cheers
