Nah Mate haven't used Hot Shots, for charcoal I only use Mangrove lump charcoal from Emberpak or the Redheads robot turds.

I remember one Christmas, was doing the full on Ham spread on the Kettle. Had the whole family over for Christmas lunch.
I left my run late for fuel, and Heat Beads were on short supply. I could not buy a bag for love nor money...
So, I was forced to buy a bag of hot shots.
On the day, they let down big time, and made my Christmas day very stressful.
In saying that, I haven't used them since.
That was over 10 years ago, they may have picked up their game since.

There was one that I tried about ten years ago I got from bunnings that gave off a smell of Mrs Marr across the road burning rubbish in her incinerator again. I cant remember the brand and kept to heat beads or coconut turds from then on. Nowdays mostly lump charcoal but still use beads in the WSM.

Thanks for you replies guys (ive been tardy)
So i used it on the weekend finally in the ALDI roti, no photos sorry.
It was decent size and quite a few of them, it burned quite hot (no context for a noob) and cooked two birds in quick time.
I have a half a bag left so Ill post up pics of the pig this week.

Haven't bought it in years, don't recall it was bad but didn't buy it again. I'm thinking to actually fire the kettle up this coming (double) long weekend, it's actually been a while, been in Weber Q learn mode Cheers
