Just got ourselves a baby Q for our new van which we are travelling and living in. However am finding it really difficult to find recipies for it, the weber cookbook for Australia is pretty deficient with breads etc., and many recipies are refering to temps for larger Q's, any ideas please

Hi Blodandpj
Baking on the Baby Q is easy, treat it like an oven and cook indirect using the foil and trivet method as explained in my helpful hints along with the Q Cook Book - refer to the link above. I cook just about everything in mine and cook all dinners and some lunches when I am on the road. Including Bread and damper, cakes, muffins and roasts.
Cheers

Τhe baby Q is incredibly versatile.... There's very little food you cant cook.
As the good captain said, treat it like an oven with the foil and trivet method

Hey Ozy, how's the shoulder ? Every single time I see a baby Q question I want to spank my step-daughter, she had one, sold it cheap without thinking I might pay her for it I have a 200 but they seem to cook so different I think I could justify both, besides, it's small, could hide it from the wife Cheers

You have a good tool for barbecuing, There is really no recipe you cant cook in it. Particularly roasts. Here is a simple but effective beef roast. Coffee bean Bolar. Make a rub of; 2 Tablespoons fresh coffee grind 1 Tablespoon black ground pepper 1 teaspoon salt Rub the bolar over with a little soy sauce and oil, Then sprinkle liberally with your rub. Let sit for a few hours in the fridge. bring out for an hour to room temp then roast on the trivet indirect at medium heat (150C) till done to about 5C below your preferred doneness. Baste with oil and soy sauce once or twice during cooking. Take out and rest just tented with foil (not totally wrapped), about 20 Min. Enjoy the best beef roast Im yet to surpass Welcome to the forum
