Managed to wrangle work from home this arvo so I figured I would need something to relieve five hours on the computer. I dropped into the local Supa Barn last night and whilst they don't have a big variety of meat they do have good specials from time to time. Especially early in the week. Landed 1.7kg of Bolar Blade for $10. Gave it a rub and left it in the fridge Sooo home about noon, fired up some lump and then cooked it direct for half an hour turning it every five minutes then indirect for about fortyfive. Took it to 130F and then tented it for about half hour where it kept going through to 142F. Chopped a few bits off to chew on whilst I was working and banged the rest in the fridge to cool down. Then sliced away. Bagged some for the next couple of weeks, some for the next few days. Dave

Any coffee? Nah. It was a combination of a left over brisket rub and a leftover pastrami rub. so a fair bit of pepper. Had some today on rolls with cheese and lettuce...............perfect As for the coffee. I will give it a go soon Dave
