It looks more and more like we are going to have to agree to disagree and go our own directions.
Not what I wanted but there are times that life doesn't pan out the way you want.
Sure, I have the IT skills to take this forum down in about ten minutes but that's just not the way I roll. It WAS NOT a threat, it was just a comment.
I swear to you, on my grandfather's grave that I would NEVER do anything to harm your forum and sure as hell not something that would impact your business.
That's just not the kind of man I am and ChrisG can vouch for me on ALL of the above.

It ran into what I'd call a conflict, but that was complicated by technology, and ego and cultural carp Shayne. Give it a few weeks, threw it into the melting pot Cheers

It was a sad lack of understanding Shayne, Jamie made a great forum but decided it was his and expected me to deliver his new members. The members didn't take to it , Wrong name, Wrong owner, Whacky boards , Wrong language then finally an unforgivable insult when I pushed him. So I pulled the pin. Selling out my forum was not the plan. Its MY way or the hi-way for Aussie Cue. Ive another idea In the pipe line that will make any sort of progression in house.

Guys, I just posted up a new thread that goes into a bit more detail but in short, I apologize.
Due to some technical issues the forum I built is currently dead in the water but I intend to resurrect it, I'm just busy with real life at the moment.
Smokey, I honestly don't know what I said that insulted you but whatever it was, I sincerely apologize and I don't know if you'll agree with me or not but me personally, I don't believe there is any such thing as "unforgivable." Yeah, if you intentionally did something to physically hurt someone I love then never mind forgiveness, I'll make you wish you'd never been born but short of that I'm willing to accept a handshake, a sincere apology and move on. I truly hope you feel the same way.
One small example of my attitude toward stuff like that is years ago, way back when I was still in school, I got into a fight with a guy and the blanket school rule was if there was a fight anybody who threw a punch got an automatic three day suspension from school. We both got tossed out of school for three days but when we went back to school and ran into each other in the hallway in between classes, we shook hands, we both apologized and later that day we sat down and ate lunch together. That's the way I roll.
Also, just to be clear, I'm not trying to leech your members or asking you to sell out your forum. There is nothing that says you can't be on more than one forum.
I couldn't tell you how many forums I've been involved with over the years. Currently it's just two. One is a U.S. cooking forum and the other one is a mostly Aussie forum that is just all kinds of stuff for blokes and a forum that crashed a few years ago and I rebuilt it and so I do know Aussies and I do know what I'm doing on the tech side you and I just somehow got off on the wrong foot.
I'm willing to offer up a virtual handshake if you are?

Hand shake accepted. It was never personal, The group just didn't like your forum. I think they are more interested in a local aussie themed and content forum which is Aussie Cue,s reason for being.
Sure you can have your forum and I'm a member of it. But it's core and Identity is not what the founding members envisioned. That and to be honest, I enjoy running and owning it for them.
Your free to put a link to Southern Cafe in your sig so members can make their own choice if they would like to be part of your idea.

Hand shake accepted on this end as well and no hard feelings.
I wish it could have been different but again, no hard feelings.
I'll repeat the same thing I said in the other thread, I very much appreciate you saying that I can put a link to the cooking forum I have in the works in my signature and I will both still stick my head in here when I have time but I'll also be interested to see what you've got in the works. You said you have something in the pipeline and I'm genuinely interested to see it.
