Heres a heads up for those that might be interested.
Was just now, browsing the TV guide and spotted this..
Its part 1 too, so if its watchable, might be an interesting series.
The Spice Trip.... Chillies - Mexico
8.25pm - 9.25pm SBS ONE Tonight
Chef Stevie Parle and professional spice blender Emma Grazette embark on a vibrant, colourful and spice-filled journey around the world. Adding spice is the easiest and quickest way to transform a simple dish from mundane to sensational. The pair go to some of the most exotic countries on Earth to meet the experts who grow spices and use them every day.
In the first episode, Stevie and Emma head to Oaxaca, Mexico, where chillies go back thousands of years and every local is an aficionado.

Have the show set to capture on the PVR. I'm waiting to see if the stick that is currently my last season's very productive but not at all hot chili plant comes back to life. It's still about a foot high Smokey, worth cutting it back ? and if the one I bought for fun late in the season has survived, looks like it will, bit young to be wood. Can get more serious this year with a few more, but peppers first Cheers

Great show, can't get over the kids eating heaps of Chilli, but I can back up the fact that you do build up a tolerance.

I forgot all about this series ,,,,, and missed episodes after i flagged the Chilli one Tonight... Chef Stevie Parle and spice blender Emma Grazette travel to Cambodia, where black pepper is considered the king of spices. There they discover the berries of the pepper vine have much more to offer for cooking at home than people realise. In Phnom Penh's markets they learn how residents of the ex-French colony use black pepper on Gallic-influenced street food. Stevie and Emma also create their own fiery chicken curry, green peppercorn prawns, and a delicious strawberry and pepper ripple ice cream. Yeh/no...... Bugger it, i will watch it, while managing the start up of my all night Cold smoke of my next batch of Loin Bacon . Shayne

I missed them to, Will see this , Pepper is one of our most important spices. If I can get my hands on a few vines to make my own green peppers, I'd be a happy man.
