Had a go at shallow fried crumbed ALDI pollock using some oven dried hamburger buns as the breading. Gave the potato Scollaps and light breeding as well.

Was the ALDI Pollock worth it? I find ALDI a bit hit / miss. Sometimes great, other so so, other times hmm yuk. But that is usually the fresh veggies or meat. Not sure about frozen. Did give their salt and pepper squid a go, not again ever!

In this case it was worth it. The cod chunks were even better. I too, am weary on frozen packed sea food. But sometimes get lucky

We actually seem to do quite well out of frozen seafood, just as well because it's a bit of a trek to a decent fishmonger. The local Farmer Jacks always has a good price on twin packs of salmon steaks which with a bit of ingenuity with spices etc make for a delicious meal and they always have basa. Not everyone's cup of tea that fish but again rewards a bit of imagination. Lastly their frozen prawns are always pretty good. Nothing quite like fresh seafood though Cheers
